Story
Summer 2022 will see the King George Playing Fields being redeveloped. As players, parents or supporters of Horsforth St Margaret’s Football Club we are being asked to help raise £30,000. This fundraising is crucial to the completion of the project and will be used alongside grants secured by the club to cover the considerable costs of the work. The work will transform football at our club, giving us more pitches, that are flat, well drained, maintained, playable throughout the year and available for training. The redevelopment will benefit all teams from Dribblers through to Open Age, and compliment the fantastic facilities we already have at our clubhouse, Horsforth Sports Club.Inspired by the Men’s Open Age Team who will complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks, all 100+ of our Horsforth St Margaret's Teams, from Dribblers to Open Age, are being asked to complete their own 'Peaks Challenge'
On Saturday 9th July we are looking for all of our U9's boys teams to take part in a charity walk. In a slightly scaled back version of the "Yorkshire 3 Peaks" we will be doing a 5mile walk taking in the "Horsforth 2 Peaks" of Hunger Hills Woods and Rawdon Billing. The walk will start and finish at the clubhouse at King George Playing Fields.
This is a great chance for the boys to do something to give back to the club that has given them so many opportunities to play the game they love so much
