Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As parents of West Tytherley CE Primary School and members of the PTA we are always looking at new ways to raise money for our village school. With a small register the funding cuts have really been felt and this has left areas like the I.T. desperately out of pocket. The six of us, named above,  will be taking on The Fan Dance SAS challenge on the 7 July to help raise money towards a completely new IT suite, new Interactive whiteboards, laptops & caddies to equip our children with the necessary tools to enhance their learning experience. Full details of the campaign can be found here: campaign.justgiving.com/charity/westtytherleypta/itproject

The race event is organised by Ex SAS soldiers and for full details see: http://www.thefandancerace.com/The_Fan_Dance_Story&History.html

We will post progress updates along the way and hopefully see you at the finish line in July!

Thanks for your support, every little bit really does help.

About the campaign

Our IT equipment within the School is out-of-date and we desperately need to update this, so as to equip our children with the necessary tools to enhance their learning experience.

About the charity

Government funding cuts are having a catastrophic effect on small, rural village schools and we are increasingly forced to rely on the generosity of our local community to help us with our fundraising efforts. Our Committee is a PTA (Parents & Teachers Association) set up and consisting of parents whose children attend the school. Throughout the year, we organise events that raise funds for the school, enabling it to progress in many areas. We help with the purchase of learning materials and subsidise educational school trips. This year, we are hoping to raise extra money so that we can continue to give our children access to music. We continually thank you for your kind donations.
