Story
In June 2016 our Dad Steve was diagnosed with an aggressive stage 4 brain tumour (a GBM4). Two years on and thanks to wonderful treatment he has been able to enjoy brilliant times with us all, strengthened by an incredible outlook and determination to make the most of everything. Sadly the tumour has now returned and is inoperable.
We love him very much indeed and are so grateful for this continued time spent together. Especially because, as we know, we have been really lucky- according to the Brain Tumour Charity only 3.3% of people with this particular tumour survive beyond two years. This is a truly shocking statistic which the charity is seeking to change by their funding of pioneering treatments and research. As well as funding research into all other types of brain tumour, they offer comprehensive support to anyone affected.
Our team of Steve's family and friends are raising money for the Brain Tumour Charity during their 10k 'Twilight Walk' in Windsor on October 14th. We would be so grateful if you could contribute/ join us for this wonderful event, helping raise money to support families like ours and everyone with or affected by a brain tumour. We've set the bar high because we want to raise as much as we possibly can- nothing is enough till this horrible condition is eradicated.
Thankyou so much, everyone!!
Amy, Richard and Graham (Steve's children).
