I'm an avid knitter and crocheter, who lost a parent to Alzheimer's and empathize with families and caretakers that this disease affects. I wanted to do something that was personal, creative, and healing to give back. I was so inspired by Irene Mackenzie's Fundraiser for Alzheimer's in Scotland, that I decided to follow her lead. Twiddle Muffs are designed to provide a stimulation activity for restless hands for people with dementia. They are a wonderful source of visual, tactile, and sensory stimulation that can also keep hands warm. Perfect.

Like Irene, I’ve set myself a target of knitting a total of 100 muffs and so to help motivate me I’m hoping that you might help me raise funds for Alzheimer's Association.
