We have chosen to raise money for The Ocean Cleanup project, who are a charity aiming to clean up 90% of the Earth's plastic pollution. Alongside this we will be raising awareness for sustainable living and climate change projects. We will be posting on our instagram page regularly throughout the fundraiser with articles, information and updates on sustainable substitute products, climate change projects across the world and daily changes that can be made in order to stay updated on how we can live sustainability. 

In order to raise money, we will be racing to summit Everest in year groups. We will be walking up stairs, running up hills and climbing up ladders in order to reach out target of 8,849m. We will be tracking our progress and will be racing to reach the top first, totals will be counted at the end of each day and updates will be posted on our instagram page so everyone is able to stay updated.

"The Ocean Cleanup is a non-profit organization developing advanced technologies to rid the oceans of plastic. To achieve this objective, we have to work on a combination of closing the source and cleaning up what has already accumulated in the ocean and doesn’t go away by itself. This goal means we plan to put ourselves out of business – once we have completed this project, our work is done."
