Story
On Friday 23rd July I was invited to register and join a virtual 5km challenge to help raise funds for a charity I was first introduced to through a friend.
Orchardville go above and beyond everyday to help people, so I thought I would try and do the same. That's why, instead of doing the virtual 5km, I am going to attempt to do 100,000 steps in one day.
Orchardville is a registered charity and social enterprise that is committed to changing the lives of people with learning disability and autism. They provide the right support to any individual by aiming to help them reach their full potential and achieve their employment aspirations.
I have started listening to the newly released Orchardville Talks podcast and it truly shows how important and diverse of a service they provide.
If you would also like to help fundraise for this amazing charity you can complete a 5K anywhere that suits you! You can walk, jog, run or even cycle! It costs £20 to register for the event and you will be provided with an Orchardville T-shirt that you can wear on the 23rd of July when you are completing the challenge. We encourage everyone to set up a just giving account to get sponsored by friends or family.
