Story
Just over three years ago the hospice at home nurses cared for Dad in the last months of his life. They were amazing. They enabled Dad to stay at home, with his family, until the very end making sure we had some special moments together that we otherwise might have missed.
I completed the Moonlight Walk in 2020 - when as a result of covid - it was a “walk week” and it could be done anywhere. I was living in York and did it there with my lovely friend Sarah for company. Jack and Rosie walked to Chichester Harbour in 2021 during the “walk week” in that year. Now I’m living back in Chichester and can walk with Mum - and do the “real” thing too. Dad was keen that we fundraised for St Wilfrid’s and so we will walk for him. For his memory, for the wonderful times we had together as a family and for all the long walks he dragged us on - always promising an ice cream or a cafe was just around the corner…!! His sense of fun was legendary. We miss him every day.
