Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hello everyone that is reading this, as you know my name is Simon Turns, I have decided to organise and take part in an this small charity event in order to raise money for the Royal Marine Charitable Trust Fund.
I come from a military family and spend most my younger years at on base in Lympstone whilst my dad served in the Royal Marines. His brothers also served in various branches of the Royal Marines aswell.
Now I'm not an athletic person so I have decided to raise money by doing something that I do best and that is gaming, I've been playing for many years now and it's time I put my skills to good use and start raising some cash for RM CTF.
I plan to play a mix of Guitar Hero and Rockband 3 for a period of 50 hours to raise money for the Marines.
I am planning to start on Tuesday 26/04/11 at 1600hrs and playing through to Thursday 28/04/11 till approx 1800hrs. I will also be broadcasting via webcam at http://www.justin.tv/turnsy1985 and live tweeting from my personal account @turnsy1985 you can also find me on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/turnsy1985
Time will be allowed for toilet breaks and food, any time taken will be added on at the end so that I play for the full 50 hours.
So dig deep for the lads and help me reach my goal.
