Story

Hi, I'm Matthew and for the last few years, I've been running to keep fit. However, I struggle to just run for the sake of it. I need a challenge, and I need to push myself (that's a childhood of team sports for you).

And so, for several years now, I've wanted to run a marathon. Yet I've resisted because, well... it's 26-fricking miles!!

The time has come to step up (and forward to the start line) and go above and beyond. I'm excited. Daunted. All the other feelings, too. Yet I know this will be a life-changing experience, and I look forward to it.

Oh, and I also have long hair. VERY long hair. Not been cit for seven years... that kind of long hair. So, as part of my marathon journey, I will cut said hair and donate it to the incredible Little Princess Trust (more on them below), as well as raise money for their worthy cause.

Every little helps, so please donate as best as you can.

And wish me luck... lots of it, please. I'll need it :)

Here's more info about The Little Princess Trust:

When a child loses their hair to cancer or another condition, we'll be there with a free, real hair wig to help restore their confidence and identity. We won't stop until the research that we fund ends childhood cancer forever. Promise. Please visit us at www.littleprincesses.org.uk to find out how you can help us give young people back what cancer takes away. The Trust relies solely on the efforts of enthusiastic community fundraisers. We receive no formal funding. Please help to raise money for us so that we can help more families.
