This donation is SADAQAH and ZAKAAT eligible

Narrated by Abu Huraira RA - Allah’s Messenger SAW said “Anyone whom Allah SWT has given wealth but he does not pay its ZAKAAT, then, on the Day of Resurrection, his wealth will be presented to him in the shape of a bold-headed poisonous male snake with two poisonous glands in its mouth and it will encircle itself round his neck and bite him over his cheeks and the snake will say “I am your wealth; I am your treasure” The the Prophet SAW recited this Divine verse : “And let not those who covetously withhold of which Allah SWT has bestowed upon them of His SWT’s Bounty” (3:180)

SAHIH AL BUKHARI, 4565

Narrated by Abu Huraira RA - I asked the Messenger SAW, “What kind of SADAQAH is most excellent?” He SAW replied “What a man with little property can afford to give; and begin with those for whom you are responsible”
