Story

Vote for your favourite coo and raise money for Highland Hospice.

Artist: Jasmine Stewart

I usually work with textiles, printing and mixed media and take a lot of inspiration from my surroundings in the Scottish Highlands. I wanted my coo to represent the wild and unpredictable weather we have here, I always long for the hot sunny days but I feel that the true magic of Scotland is in the constant changing of light, how the rain and the sun bring together a rainbow out of the dark ominous clouds and how we can sometimes have four seasons in one day, drastically changing the landscape from one minute to another. I decided to name my coo Turadh as it translates to break in the clouds, which is something that's always beautiful to behold on the west coast.
