Story

Garry Ritchie and I are doing the London Underground Tube Challenge on 24th and 25th March 2022. This involves us visiting all 272 underground stations in 2 days, mainly on the tube but we can also use public transport or walking. As many of you know, Garry has Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) this is an degenerative eye condition which gradually robs the person of their sight, which impacts massively on his day to day living. For anyone with full sight, this is quite a challenge but for Garry - even more so as there are steps, uneven surfaces, the darkness and most of all, other humans!! I will be his sighted guide to make sure he stays safe. We're anticipating taking 2 whole days to complete and afterwards will probably make use of a cold beverage!
