In order to raise £1,100 for Worldwide Cancer Research, Ill be competing in the 2015 Barcelona Marathon. My personal goal is to finish under 4hrs 30mins.

Helping Worldwide Cancer Research to beat cancer is absolutely vital. Because they are the leading charity which funds research into any type of cancer, anywhere in the world - research that encompasses everything from causes and diagnosis to treatment and prevention. The simple truth is that research is the only thing that can help us make sure no life is cut short by cancer. But their scientists can only carry out research because amazing people like you donate.

There's so much you can do to help WCR's scientists and those whose lives have been touched by cancer. The following examples are just a guide to the difference your donation can make when the total reaches:

£10 - Ten pounds will enable a research scientist to grow cancer cells in a test tube to help understand how cancer cells function.

£50 - Fifty pounds will cover the cost of analysing a cancer tissue sample to help scientists' knowledge of how cancer grows and develops.

£100 - One hundred pounds will pay for a computer analysis on the structure of a new cancer drug, moving science towards developing potentially life-saving medication.

£1000 - One thousand pounds will allow a top scientist to examine the make-up of a cancer gene. This is crucial to understand how this disease spreads and kills - and how it can be beaten.

So remember that every little helps, and when they all add up they will really provide a great help to Worldwide Cancer Research!
