Everyone has a story and we hear them on a daily basis. Someone might come to us for emergency food, but behind that request is a story. It could be a relationship breakdown, the loss of a loved one, sickness or unemployment, sometimes it's simply a call for help.

On occasions it is providing a warm shelter for the night when it's freezing outside or helping someone on their way to employment or reconnecting with family. Often it looks like having a chat over a coffee and making time to listen to the back-story. 

The Salvation Army is known for its hospitality, extended to everyone. But some people need more than a hearty breakfast or a warm space. Some people live on the margins or feel like they don't matter. We aim to show love and care to everyone and especially to those whose stories don't make for easy reading. Your support could help us provide practical assistance and hope to someone in need, someone you might only ever read about.
