Story
A top-down strategy that everyone can get behind!
‘Top-down isn’t our preferred style of working, but this time 6 of us will be taking the plunge when we descend the 160ft St Thomas’ Hospital building in the Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity abseil on 23 September!
Are we doing this for the thrill of the view over Westminster while dangling from a rope at height? Nope, most of us have been quaking in our boots and feeling very nervous since we signed up!
We are braving the abseil to raise money for the Guy’s & St Thomas’ Charity, whose tremendous work and generosity supports and enhances the care of millions of patients and families and the well-being of our incredible NHS staff.
We are proud to raise money for the Charity, which funds a host of initiatives and programmes that truly benefit patients, their families and carers, as well as the thousands of staff across the Trust who provide care. From supporting the design and development of Long COVID care as part of COVID recovery efforts to funding improvements to our buildings, specialist healthcare equipment and technology to supporting a wide range of staff well-being initiatives… supporting the Charity has never been more important!
Jackie Parrott, Emma Saunders, Andrea Carney, Bethany Sharrock, and Jack Root aim to raise £300 each (our total target = £1,500). All donations, big or small, will be very gratefully received.
Thank you for your tremendous support!
