Story
10 years ago I walked The Worcestershire Way in a day with Stuart’s sister Louise. Stuart died 7th March 2012 aged 42 years leaving a large hole in the lives of everyone who loved him.
St Richards Hospice provided support at home during Stuart’s illness, which continued for Tom and I with their bereavement team in the desperately sad time afterwards.
Stuart is loved always, missed daily and is held closely in our hearts and memories.
I am walking again this year with Tom by my side, well probably trotting to keep up with him, with Jeff’s support too.
So, 31 miles of wonderful Worcestershire sharing memories along the way. A challenging route, but worth every step to raise funds for this wonderful local charity.
St Richards Hospice which provides free specialist palliative care for people living with life limiting illnesses is organising this popular annual walk on Friday, 8th July. Although some of the terrain will be challenging, walkers will enjoy the beautiful Worcestershire countryside and certainly finish with a great sense of achievement. St Richards Hospice relies on donations to fund our free care and are extremely grateful to all those in the community who support us so we can continue our work helping patients and families when they need us most.
