Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 2nd October I will be taking part in the Palace to Palace cycle ride to raise funds for the Prince's Trust. The charity has been doing great work for 40 years now, supporting disadvantaged young people into education or vocational training.

I first became involved with the Prince's Trust 9 years ago, teaching filmmaking courses for young people from Brixton and Hackney, that had been excluded from school and were trying to find a way back into education or employment. Many of these young people had experienced very difficult upbringings, some struggling with mental health problems and others that had become involved with gangs and were trying to leave that life behind. It was tremendous to see the impact that the charity had on their lives; many of the charity's support workers that I worked alongside had previously been in that same position, as young people turning to the Prince's Trust for help.
