Story

Thanks to you all for your amazing donations! We are pleased to report that Stuart completed the Loch Ness Marathon 2010 with a time of 3 hours 53 mins, and Tris with a time of 4 hours 42 mins. They are both delighted with the amount raised so again many thanks to everyone that supported them and the stroke association!!

Hello all!

Thank you for coming to my JustGiving page!

As many of you will know Margaret (my mother) recently passed away suddenly and unexpectedly as a result of a stroke. Things have been pretty tough for the whole family having someone held so dear taken so young, however we have all pulled together and found strength that many of us never knew we had. Following on from this (and perhaps against my better judgement!) I am running the Inverness Marathon on 3rd October this year to raise money for the Stroke Association who do fantastic work assisting families and stroke victims to recover and come to terms with tragic events. The Stroke Association funds research into prevention, treatment and better methods of rehabilitation, and helps stroke patients and their families directly through its Life After Stroke Services. These include Information, Advice and Support, Communication Support and Life After Stroke grants. So if you can find anything to donate to this worthy cause we would all appreciate it and looking forward to seeing you at the finish line!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
