I became a Girl Scout when I was 6 years old, and have loved it since my first meeting! I earned a ton of badges, went camping in the most beautiful places, learned how to ski, volunteered like crazy, grew my confidence and developed my leadership skills. When my daughter, Katalyna became a Girl Scout, I was heavily involved and eventually became Tierrasanta’s Service Unit Manager and have stayed on Service Unit Team since.

Now, Katalyna is an Ambassador Girl Scout, working on her Gold Award and is reaping the benefits only Girl Scouting can provide. I believe Girl Scouting has changed my life and hers for the better and it is my wish that all girls have the same opportunity.
