Story
This year Trust in Soda are sponsoring "Clash of the Companies" in aid of all the Children's Hospitals here in Dublin. Its one of the best tech charity events in the calendar and something I am very passionate about supporting.
As some of you may know, our son Shay has been in and out of Temple Street hospital over the past few years. In December of last year, just a couple of days before Christmas- Shay took a seizure which lasted over 2 hours. Being honest, there a stage we thought he wasn't going to make it and there was discussions about putting him into an induced coma/ventilator.
Luckily the little man pulled through it and made a full recovery.
Having spent time in the hospital- I have seen first hand how amazing the staff of all the children's hospitals are, and the difference that corporate donations make not only in terms of equipment but in terms of making the children happy and comfortable with toys, new child friendly wards etc. They also have built on campus accommodation for parents with children in long term care.
With this in mind- I am running 100k in June and trying to raise as much money as possible to help those who really need it
Hospitals are never a nice place to be in with children, but lets make it the best it can be :)
