Story
Please help us as we support children at Chipwepwete to improve their learning environment
Imagine trying to learn sitting on a dusty floor, or without a school lunch or exercise book.
Imagine teaching a class after a two hour walk to school, or without an adequate house to live in.
This year we are fundraising particularly to provide free school lunches and educational resources for every child at Chipwepwete primary school, and to fund better facilities for teachers to improve their learning environment.
£15 provides a free school lunch and exercise books and classroom stationary for a child at Chipwepwete for a whole school year, with money left over to provide uniform for the most vulnerable.
£30 provides a transport service for a female teacher to get to school on time for a month
£50 buys a desk for a child to learn at, lifting them off the dusty floor
£100 contributes towards the bike to work scheme for male teachers
£800 funds an education programme called My Boy and My Girl to promote equality and respect and keep girls in school
£1000 kits out a whole classroom with twenty desks and a storage cupboard
£10 000 could build a two room teacher house to have a long lasting impact on staffing at the school

We know that an excellent education is truly life changing and the hopes and dreams of students at Chipwepwete very much mirror our own. We share the same values – to care for others, to promote equal opportunities between girls and boys, and to share kindness, joy and friendship particularly at this time of year.
Thank you so much for supporting our appeal.
