With more than a little help from my Great Aunt and Carer, Linda Ather, I am appealing to my local community of East Rainton, to support me in securing a brand new trike from Caudwell Children. 

Just in case you're not aware, I have cerebral palsy, a condition that affects my stability and balance. I used to have a trike but since I've outgrown it, I'm now unable to properly play outside with my friends. Obviously this is frustrating (especially as it's Summer!) but maybe you could help?

I am a full-time wheelchair user, and the trike will give me much more independence. It's a specialist piece of equipment (which at £1,540 doesn't come cheap!) and it's designed to work 'with me' and assist my rehabilitation as my Aunt explained:

'Whilst Jasmine is having fun, she will also be improving her core strength and co-ordination, and she will develop muscle tone in her legs. Without the trike it's like Jasmine will be a prisoner in her own home'

I'm only 10-years-old and the trike will mean I can socialise with my friends at East Rainton Primary School in Tyne and Wear even more than before.
