We support people in the Harrogate district to live with terminal illness & bereavement

Story

I’m a border terrier called Lily & I live not very far from Saint Michaels Hospice in Harrogate.
My Mum, Tricia Blenkinsop has been fundraising for Saint Michaels for some time and I find that whenever she is training for a challenge I am taken along too…

That’s given me the idea to challenge myself & help the Hospice that we pass every day, often walking the grounds (I sometimes chase the rabbits who think they are safe there – never catch any though!)  I was
only a puppy when Grandad Rob passed away at Saint Michaels but it’s a place that means a lot to all our family.

Saint Michael's is here for people who need extra support on top of the day-to-day care they receive from GPs, district nurses, hospital teams and nursing home staff. Without the hospice, these people could be left to face the complex issues and forgotten challenges of terminal illness alone. We care for people with a variety of terminal illnesses, including heart failure, respiratory illnesses and neurological conditions; as well as cancer. Your donations are vital in raising the £5million that we spend annually providing this care.
