As you know I used to be fat, and now I'm less so. But this is still a massive challenge it's more than three times the distance I've swum before and in open water, then a 25 mile ride and then the small matter of just under a quarter of a marathon to run to finish it off. As with last time I will pay my own race fee so you aren't paying for me to take part just helping a good cause.

 

Last year a friend passed away from cancer, my Grandfather died with cancer and this year my Dad was diagnosed with, and has since had surgery to treat cancer; this is a really good cause but that goes without saying.

 

My employer npower are matching all sponsorship pound-for-pound so I'm hoping to raise £500 from you and then double that with money from the company.

 

£1000 will pay for a Macmillan nurse to help someone with cancer, they are a fantastic charity and this is their centenary year so this is a real chance to make a big difference through a small act.
