Story
We three branch labourers come to you in desperate need of support through what will be the
darkest hours of our lives.
One of our friends and colleague, Jean Delph regrettably lost her husband recently to a heart condition. In memory of Fred, we are going to attempt something fairly special in an attempt to raise as much money as possible for the
British Heart Foundation Jersey Appeal.
What are we going to do?
Well, all our lives we have received insults based on our less than perfect vital statistics.
Relentless jibes such as the following have plagued our progress in life:
"Harry, you're so skinny you have to run around in the shower to get wet."
"Ali, you've got something on your chin...third one down."
"Andy, we said standing ovation...oh wait, you are."
No more are we prepared to let the abuse jilt our pursuit of
physical achievement. We are going to put ourselves through hell. We are all going to complete, in its ugly entirety, an Olympic-distance Triathlon
in memory of Jean's husband.
D-Day: Friday, March 1st is when we will conquer the triathlon
Sponsorship opportunities come along on a more than frequent basis but this time around we really do need your help. Our
round-the-clock commitment to delivering superior customer service often prevents us from visiting the gym. We will be facing this battle with little to no prior training
but this will not allow quitting to be an option.
However, the most important reason to dig deep for us is because we want to raise as much money as possible for the British Heart Foundation Jersey Appeal; a fantastic cause with personal significance to Jean.
In the words of a well-known supermarket...Every little helps.
Thank you :)
