On his 2nd birthday, after what had been a perfect day of fun with his family, my nephew passed away on 4th May 2013. Riley was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect at 7 months and we were told at somepoint he may require open heart surgery; this day didnt come. Three days prior to his next heart check, Riley passed away suddenly.

Riley was such an active little boy, in his memory the family will be completing various sporting challenges to raise funds for CHF.

I have always had an ambition to complete a triathlon, now i have got my place confirmed I will be stepping up my training, buying a bike and generally trying to get myself in shape to complete this!

Olympic Distance - 1.5K Swim - 40K Bike - 10K Run

The event is on the 2nd/3rd of August - I am awaiting information as to what day.
