Story
I'm taking part in Decembeard to raise money for Bowel Cancer UK.
I was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer in 2012. This year I reached the five year mark with no recurrences (having had three between 2012-17). Whilst still living in fear of its return, I am one of the 'lucky' ones.
If my small effort can help to prevent anyone else having to deal with what I, my loved ones, friends and relations had to endure, then it will be a month's ridicule well spent.
Your support, no matter how big or small, will be hugely appreciated. Thank you so much, it means a lot.
Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity and is determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. Bowel cancer is the UK's second biggest cancer killer with more than 16,500 people dying annually of a disease that is preventable, treatable and curable. I'm determined to help Bowel Cancer UK to change that. The money you donate will help to provide support and information to patients and their families, enable them to fund and support research into bowel cancer and to campaign for early diagnosis and best treatment and care for all.
Have a very Merry Christmas and a healthy, prosperous New Year.
Tim
