I am completing a 12 hour marathon bowl to raise funds for the Stickler Syndrome Support Group.  Very few have heard of this condition and yet its a very serious illness and is not only life limiting, it can be life threatening too.

My friend and i have set up a group on the networking site facebook to help raise awareness of the illness and to show parents and sufferers of the condition that they are not alone and that there is a lot of support out there for them. 

In the 3 weeks since this group has been set up we have recruited over 300 members.  On the group there is a link posted for those that want more information and also a personal insight from a parent of a sufferer on what caring for someone with the condition is like.

Please help by sparing a few minutes and joining the group on facebook - its called "Stickler Syndrome Awareness Group" and donating what ever you can spare to help fund research into the condition.  All donations however small will be greatfully received and will be appreciated by all.
