Fundraising for Nexus Institute of Creative Arts
Story
Thank you everyone for stopping by to see our fundraising page. Below is a little about what the fundraising is for so you are not left in the dark.
We have been privileged to be part of a very exciting school called Nexus in Coventry, UK. It is the reason we moved from the heat of Memphis. Nexus is a small school focused on developing the talent and personal walks of each individual student. We knew when we moved here it was going to be quite a change. There is no salary increase or huge benefit we get from being here. We just know without a doubt that this is the place God has for us. And for one week a year Nexus thinks of all kinds of crazy events to raise money for the school. The money goes towards helping support next years students and continue the work of the school.
Like many non-profit institutions, Nexus does not support itself only on tuition. This week of fundraising is meant to help offset the cost of tuition so that students can come and study at Nexus without such a high price tag.
This is where all of you come in. Keep in mind first and foremost that I may ask again of you in the future when we do this again next year. So if you wanted to give me 3 dollars today in a huge lump sum I would ask you to maybe consider a dollar this year, and maybe 2 dollars next year. HA. But you get the picture, this is an ongoing mission of the school, not just a one time deal.
So any help would be appreciated, we will be doing what is called "The London Landmarks" which means we have to go to as many famous landmarks in 10 hours as humanly possible and document each one. The good news for you is that I should be able to post the pictures of our "documentation" when we are done, in case you want to check up on us. You may probably notice that we look much more miserable near hour 22 then we do in the first few photos, but don't think less of us please.
