Story
In June 2019, I will be taking part in the 4th industry-wide charity cycle event to raise money for Alzheimer's Society.
The route will begin in Reading on Tuesday 11th June 2019, with cyclists departing on an agreed route to the first destination - Swindon, where they will stay overnight. Day 2 will see cyclists following a route from Swindon, heading southwest to arrive in Weston-super-mare by the late afternoon. The third day will involve a circular route, departing from Weston-super-mare and arriving back at the same location later that afternoon.
The event has been timed to co-incide with this year's National Refuse Championships, which is held on the seafront in Weston-super-mare. On 14th June, the Championships will be officially opened by the cycle team crossing the "finish line" on the seafront, where friends and family are welcome to show their support and enjoy the popular industry event.
The team will be riding in support of Alzheimer’s Society; a charity that is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
