River Row 2018 · 22 September 2018 to 23 September 2018 ·

We care for babies, children & young people to help make every moment count

Story

Over the weekend of 22-23 September, Paul and Trevor plan to row down the Thames from Radley near Oxford to Hampton, along with many other rowers from LEH and Hampton schools and their parents - 112+ rowers in 14+ boats covering 80 miles, including 28 locks. Daniela and many other parents will be helping us from the banks.

We're raising money for a local charity Shooting Star Chase, which provides hospice care for babies and children with life-limiting conditions. They provide an invaluable service but it is only possible through fund-raising as the government covers just 10% of their costs. We aim to raise enough to pay for a care nurse for an entire year. For more about Shooting Star Chase and the incredible work they do, please visit their website  http://www.shootingstarchase.org.uk

This is a real challenge and particularly daunting for the parents, many of whom only got into a proper rowing boat for the first time this summer to do this. Please sponsor us generously to make all the blisters worthwhile.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
