There are 850,000 people in the U.K. living with Alzheimer's, a number which is set to soar in the coming years.

I'm taking part in the North Downs 50K Challenge, yes that's 50 KILOMETRES or nearly 32 MILES, in memory of my Grandad Reg who suffered from this dreadful disease towards the end of his wonderful 95 years of life.

He always liked to stay as fit as he possibly could and tried to walk as often as he could so what better way to celebrate a wonderful man and in doing so hopefully raise some money for this fantastic charity.
