Story
All Catherines friends, relatives and colleagues know what a fantastic lady she was. So there is no need to go into detail here. What makes her extra special was the way she handled every crisis in her life, always being positive and smiling. As you all know 2011 was the year she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Instead of accepting her fate she continued smiling and being positive up to the very last day. Never complaining at the hospital, being patient as a saint when kept waiting (sometimes up to 5 hours) and facing the gruelling treatment with not a grumble. This picture is so typical of her. Taken at the wedding of her niece only last September she embraced life to the full despite the pain and discomfort she was in at the time. Her last week was spent at the Heart Of Kent Hospice and because of the care, compassion and love given to Catherine whilst there it is, without doubt, the chosen charity that her family would wish all donations in her memory to be made.
