Story
Rob ‘Pelo’ Paulding was there at the very start of the Ripcor journey to becoming Berkshire’s premier cycling club and a fierce supporter of our favourite charity the Pace Centre, contributing to, and, helping us raise, in excess of £750,000 for this incredible charity and he never let us forget how lucky we were to be able to do something we love and at the same time help children less fortunate than us. His tragic loss has left us devastated, but is legend will live on.
Pelo was my friend for over 35 years. He was one of the good guys and I miss his sage advice and invaluable friendship everyday. He always had time for people, a beautiful sense of humour and a balanced outlook on life. He leaves behind a Pelo shaped hole in my life that is impossible to fill.
So this May we are riding to Paris in his memory with his name on our jerseys. This is a real challenge for me as I have got been on the bike since the first covid lockdown, but this is important and I want to honour the man who has been hugely influential in my life and raise a £ or two for Pace at the same time.
If you would like to donate, you can do so here and help the children at the PACE Centre. Your support will help to transform the lives of children with sensory motor disorders, giving them the opportunity to learn the skills they need to become independent. I would mean a lot to me. It would have meant a lot to Pelo too.
Thank you.
