THE EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE FROM JULY 3RD TO JULY 4TH AT AVRIL WILLIAMS B&B IN AUCHONVILLERS IN THE SOMME. I always loved trench experiences in museums but i still had trouble imagining the real conditions these brave soldiers were unfortunate to endure. So i thought that i could do an experiment by living in a First World War trench and trying to recreate the lifestyle that was common for them during this time, which includes being in a standard British soldier's uniform, eating and drinking similar rations as Tommy and recreating a "normal" day on the frontline by using info i found in WW1 trench orders and the 24H Trench series books by Andy Robertshaw.

The event will be held at Avril Williams B&B in Auchonvillers int the Somme.

The goal as well is to see how this style of life might affect the soldier physically and mentally.

The money raised will go to Combat Stress who help out soldiers and veterans deal with issues such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
