Story

Having worked in the health and social care sector for over 11 years, I have seen the impact of alzheimers and dementia of people in our community and to their families. We need all the support we can get to enrich people's lives and no matter what their age, background or beliefs- the cost of health and social care and support is rising. For people working in this sector it is important that we are able to gain support and expertise from charities such as this.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
