In March 2021, my Dad Roger at 72 years old was diagnosed with Lewy Body’s Dementia.

He had only retired at 70 and my folks wanted to embark on some well earned travel and free time together.

50 odd years of work for 2 years of retirement…Mum took voluntary redundancy over lockdown to become his full time carer. The impact this disease has had on his physical state has been a real shock to the system

Dad is now reliant on a wheelchair, hoists, a modified vehicle and a team of carers to help everyday. Alongside the downhill slide in his mental capacity.

I want to raise as much money as possible to help the future fight of this awful disease to assist with people suffering and their families.
