Story

My family, and so many other families, have been affected by Alzheimer’s. It’s a cruel disease that results in you watching the person you know and love being taken away from you bit by bit. Despite appreciating the positive moments (like my Dad and Elsie coming home from a walk with a collection of sticks, hanging baskets and other random items almost as big as the smile in their faces, or my Dad and Isobel having a lengthy conversation that neither of them could understand) it has been the hardest thing I have had to deal with.

Alzheimer’s Society are working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. They do this by giving help to those living with dementia today and by providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding ground-breaking research.Thank you for supporting us with this challenge , together we can be help and hope to everyone affected by dementia.
