Event: Trek26 North York Moors - 26 miles, on 22 July 2023
Trek for loved ones and bring help and hope to everyone affected by dementia. Experience stunning coastline and moorland views across the North York Moors and trek through the cobbled streets of the famous seaside towns, Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay.

Story

What better way to raise money, trekking 26 miles in gods country,  for such an underfunded and worthwhile charity. Dementia is cruel and affects every part of society.   I have joined a great team in the Cross Lane Crew who everyday experience this in the work place.

The route  will start with views of the famous gothic Whitby Abbey offering  stunning views of the coast and the moors, taking you through fields, woodland, villages and lots of coastline.

Following  part of the old railway route from Whitby, walking along the well maintained paths of The Cinder Track to the picturesque village, Robin Hood's Bay. continuing further down the coast before heading back via the Cleveland Way path.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
