Story

My life, and the lives of my brothers’ have been absolutely devastated by this cruel disease over the past couple of years. Life as we knew it has been turned upside down. Jeanne lost her lovely Mum to Alzheimer’s too just a few years ago - we both know the meaning of the ‘long goodbye’.

26 miles is a long way to walk; further than either of us have walked before in any one day - even with any little detours we regularly manage to do along the way because we’re too busy chatting to read the map! But, we’re willing to challenge ourselves physically, give it a go and try our very best (with the help, support and company of each other) to raise much needed funds. We just aim to get from the start to the finish in the day, have fun, enjoy the walk and raise funds for a really worthwhile charity that we both know and understand so personally. If you can help Jeanne and I (and Alzheimer’s Society) will be very grateful.

Alzheimer’s Society are working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. They do this by giving help to those living with dementia today and by providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding ground-breaking research.Thank you for choosing to support Alzheimer's Society, together we can be help and hope to everyone affected by dementia.
