Alzheimer’s will affect 1 in 9 people in the UK, with my Nan being one of them. I have some amazing memories with my Nan, but unfortunately have seen first hand how this disease slowly steals people's memories and the distress and confusion it brings along with the mental and physical decline.

I want to raise as much money as possible for Alzheimer’s Society to help fund the amazing support work and research they are doing. Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, they will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

Nan loved to hike and we'll be thinking about her as we trek around the stunning coastline and moorland views across the North York Moors, through the cobbled streets of the famous seaside towns of Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay.
