Story
My granny had dementia in her late seventies. My mum was diagnosed in her early seventies and for the last few years of her life didn’t remember her late husband or their 51 year marriage or properly recognise her children, grandchildren or sister. My father-in-law had Alzheimer’s late in life which severely affected his and my mother-in-law’s (as carer) lives. It is a rotten disease and the encouraging recent progress in finding a way to deal with it cannot develop fast enough. Supporting the Alzheimer’s Society in this way is a small contribution to the cause which I am proud to make.
