Story

Join hundreds of other trekkers as we make our way around London's most iconic sights and raise money so together we can find a cure.

My first experience of dementia was as a young 19 year old starting my first job in care. I went to to working in a dementia unit in a care home just for people living with dementia which is where I learned a lot. Over the last 12 years I have been on many courses trying to learn as much as I can about living with this horrible illness also becoming a dementia friend

Sadly 3years ago my grandad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and vascular dementia. we have watched him change over the years he is now unable to walk and is cared for in a lovely care home where we visit most days.

Then we were hit again my other grandad sadly was diagnosed last year also with Alzheimer's, vascular dementia and shrinkage of the brain we are very early stages and the medication seems to be working to slow it down

This is why I am walking 26 miles to help the Alzheimer society the raise money to help find a cure please donate no amount is to small.
