Story

As many of you will be aware Michelle's mum was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's when she was only 64 years old and unfortunately passed away last year. It was a shock to say the least and has already had a big effect on our lives, and doubtless more so in the years to come.

Not many realise that Alzheimer's is a terminal illness and isn't just a few memory loss problems. Everything that is controlled by the brain has the potential to be affected, and as everybody suffers differently it is hard to say how symptoms will present themselves. An average life expectancy of somebody with my mum's condition is just 7 years from diagnosis.

To top everything off my wife and her sister a 50/50 chance of getting this hereditary disease and there is a chance we could have already passed it on to our daughters.

Please sponsor us so that we can help with the fundraising efforts of The Alzheimer's Society and try to find a cure

Thank you for your time and donation!
