This year I am taking part in Trek26 in memory of my partners father Keith Smurthwaite, as well as in memory of my late Grandads Harold and Bob, and for my Grandma Mary who is living with the illness.

Sadly, we lost Keith at the young age of 66 on 7th March after he bravely fought this terrible disease for over 6 years.

Alzheimer’s Society are working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. They do this by giving help to those living with dementia today and by providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding ground-breaking research.
