Story

On 28th May, Karl & I will be walking 26 miles with my sisters & friends around London to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society. Having witnessed the effect of this cruel disease on my mother, we know all too well how much suffering this can bring.  It doesn’t discriminate, it devastates lives, and right now there’s no cure.  With someone developing dementia every three minutes, dementia is set to be the UK’s biggest killer.

Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity. It provides fund raising, information and support and is aiming to create a more dementia-friendly society.  That is why we will be joining thousands of others walking in London on 28th May: to help support those who are suffering as our families are and to help prevent others having to endure an illness described as “the long goodbye”.

Your support will make all the difference; any donation is a blessing. Thank you.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
