I lost my step-father, Ron Avery, a couple of years ago, who sadly suffered Alzheimer's. Those of you who have experienced the same in friends or relatives will know that this disease takes away much of the person we love, so we often lose them well before their actual passing.

I'm hoping that by doing this Trek with three friends, we can raise funds to help those suffering this horrible condition and support their friends and families as well.
