Event: Trek26 Brecon Beacons - 13 miles, on 8 July 2023
Journey through a spectacular area of wild moorland, tumbling waterfalls and sweeping mountain slopes in the Brecon Beacons. Trek for loved ones, and raise money so together we can find a cure.

Story

Many people will know that the reality of loving someone with Alzheimer’s or Dementia is that your grief often begins not long after their diagnosis.
My Grandma was lucky enough to receive wonderful care from wonderful people and in our case, we were blessed to have so many wonderful years with her before her diagnosis and her Vascular Dementia took hold. What was truly amazing though was her strength, courage and resilience over the last few months.
Therefore in memory of her, my Mum and I will be completing the Alzheimer’s UK 13 mile Trek through the Brecon Beacons/Bannau Brycheiniog in July.
Any contributions are greatly appreciated and all donations will be going to The Alzheimer’s Society.
In loving memory of my gorgeous, warm and truly special, special Grandma Valerie Evans 🤍
