Our lovely Mum/Gran was the most amazing, loving and kind person imaginable. She died aged 86 years on the 3rd August 2014 after a short illness but had also been living courageously with the debilitating effects of dementia for the last few years. Alzheimer Scotland helped us greatly when Mum was first diagnosed, making sure we knew about all the support that was available to make life easier. We were extremely lucky in that Mum's illness never deteriorated to the point where she did not know us and we enjoyed a loving and close relationship right up until her death. She is completely irreplaceable and we miss her SO much.
