Story
On the 19th of April, my family got the sad news that my Grandma has passed away after contracting covid-19 just a few days earlier. We want her passing to make a difference in some way and as a former nurse, it would be a lovely way to bring her life full circle if we could raise money in her name to help prevent more families suffering the loss of a loved one. Over the course of three weeks, my brother and I are going to lift a combined 1,000,000 kg by squatting, deadlifting and bench pressing our way to a million to help raise money for world vision, a coronavirus relief charity that is helping in the fight against the virus on a global level.
As the novel coronavirus continues to spread, your donation will help provide things like face masks and gloves for health workers; thermometers, hand sanitizer, and emergency food for children and families; and health training where needed to keep everyone safe. World Vision has been responding on the ground since the beginning of the outbreak, meeting critical needs around the world. As the virus continues to spread, our staff are reaching at-risk communities with supplies here in the U.S. and abroad. When a crisis strikes, World Vision is there. We respond immediately with life-saving help and supplies to support families as they recover and rebuild. World Vision is a leader in emergency relief, with decades of experience and an established network of staff ready to respond to any type of crisis, anywhere in the world.
